Tis the Season to Get Engaged

According to a survey of 1,131 brides sponsored by the Fairchild Bridal Group, the publisher of "Modern Bride",  November and December account for 26 percent of marriage proposals!!!    Let the CELEBRATION begin!   It all makes sense because you have family and friends around and love is definitely in the air around this time of year.

UPLIGHTING

I'm sure you've seen it on My fair wedding with David Tutera, Platinum weddings and on all of the many wedding shows on television! :)




We are so excited to inform you that we will be offering Brand New LED Uplighting in 2011! This is the Hottest 2010 Trend in Wedding Decor. My first experience in using this uplighting effect was for my own wedding at the St. Paul River Centre Ballroom. I was amazed of how it changed the vibe of the room. I was very impressed with the new Led Lighting compared to the old par cans which can get very hot and uses a lot of wattage. I was hooked and knew Nora Events needed this for our clients!

Our choice of brand is the new Chauvet Slim Par 56! It is powered by 108 green, blue and red LEDs. It is very slim so it doesn't take too much room when set up. I am going to be using this with a DMX controller, which means whatever colors you want... you get. :) Our clients will also have the option to have their uplighting fade in and out between the colors they want.

First Dance:  "They Way You Look Tonight" by Tony Bennett

Highlights:    One of my favorite moments was the father and daughter dance.  They surprised everybody by doing a polka and it was such a huge success since everybody had been expecting a traditional slow dance.  It was a great moment for them to share and we were very happy to be a part of the big polka surprise.   It was my first time traveling outside the twin cities area and I was very happy to be a part of their wedding.  Congrats again to Taylor and Beth!
